My Lore

Often found furiously scribbling notes in the margins of a recipe book or layering washes of watercolor over ink drawings, I have always been inspired by the intersection of design, creative problem-solving, language and the call to dive deeper in my work.

With a background in linguistics, language learning and cultural studies, I bring a unique perspective to my profession as a UX designer and marketing professional.

Currently, I am working at the MUHC Foundation as a Digital Marketing Specialist who focuses on cultivating empathy, story telling, design thinking, and strategic segmenting for donor journeys through email marketing.

I am a self-taught designer with a degree in Linguistics and East Asian Studies from McGill and UX Design Certificate from Concordia University.

I enjoy a good book, will always take my teas hot even in the summer, and believe waffles are the best breakfast food.

True or False

  • True! Although I currently live in Montreal, I am from the U.S. and moved around a lot, living in six different states. I was homeschooled as a result before going to high school in New Jersey.

  • False (cries internally), but hopefully not for long! I love all animals, but I am definitely a dog person and noodle dogs have a special place in my heart for their silly, stubborn personalities.

  • False! I refuse to this day to watch Grave of Fireflies, but besides that, I have watched everything else including Pom Poko (if you know, you know). My favorite has to be Ponyo or Whisper of the Heart.

My Current Rotation

  • Latest bake: Vanilla cake with matcha buttercream and strawberry lemon compote

  • Movement: Ballet, yoga, social dances, or running

  • Reading: The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp and the Emily Wilde series

  • Playing: League of Legends and Don’t Starve Together
